Notes

A sign can have notes. Notes tell other information about the sign. There are different types of information in notes:

• Who uses it or when (more than is indicated by the dialect).
• How to use the sign. For example, only in informal situations among friends. 
• How the sign's meaning is different from other signs.
• How you make the sign differently from other signs.

• Where the sign comes from.
• Facts about the person or thing the sign refers to.
• Working notes to yourself: things you want to change before you publish the dictionary.

Notes appear under the senses and example sentences. 

In SooSL Desktop, if there are no notes for a sign, you will see ??? in place of the notes. That is a reminder: maybe you want to add a note.

In SooSL Desktop, you can add and edit notes.

In some dictionaries, there are extra videos that say the same thing as the notes.
