Some Mac mice, such as the Mighty Mouse, have only one button. This makes things difficult in SooSL Desktop. SooSL Desktop uses right-clicking (with a second button) for some functions. Mac users have the following options:
- You can hold the Command button down on your keyboard while you click with the mouse. This has the same effect as a right-click.
- You can tap with two fingers on a touchpad. This is the same as a right-click.
- The Mighty Mouse actually has two key switches under its one button. Go to System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse, and choose Right-Click (or Secondary Button) as the action for your mouse's "other" button. Then, pressing anywhere on the mouse's top-right surface will give you a right-click.
- Buy a cheap 2- or 3-button USB mouse. It may say that it is only for Windows, but it should also work on a Mac. If the mouse comes with a larger USB-A plug, and your computer has USB-C jacks, you can also buy an adapter (USB-A female to USB-C male, to connect the USB-A male plug on the mouse to the USB-C female jack on the computer).
